It's good to be busy!

There are days when I am at work and I fret. I can feel my heart starting to pound harder, my blood pressure getting a bit intense, and a swimming feeling in my head called "stress". Normally this is due to basically things being busy and sometimes being overwhelmed by a lot of things going on at once. It used to be something I avoided as much as possible, but it's clear that cannot be the case as a common human response.

But, unlike many people, I am starting to become extremely thankful to God for this. Why?

I could be unemployed.
I could not be able to work at all.
I could be in another job that I did not like as much or at all.
I could be having much more serious problems in my life that pale in comparison to this stress.
I could be lacking in many other areas of happiness that others don't have.

I could be dead.

Ok, so that may be a little dramatic, but think about it--God gives us only what we can handle. If we are busy and stressed about it, it's not to be cursed or worried about--but rather thankful for. Thank you God for giving me this challenge--thank you for reminding me my worth and my place in this world--thank you for the stress!!!

Is that crazy? Maybe. But it's good to be busy. It could be a million times worse. Perspective is key here, and Jesus Christ's love is starting to show me that. I have to remember that it is him that I have to focus on--his caring, his world, knowing that regardless of my stress and possible lack of strength, God loves me no matter what.

And just like that...my stress is gone.
